Join NARI Silicon Valley Sunday, September 7 starting at 10 AM for a day of pedaling, fun, and making a difference! We’re teaming up with The Great Cycle Challenge to raise funds for the Children’s Cancer Research Fund — and we’re kicking it off at Viva Calle San Jose! Open to all members and prospective members who want to connect in a fun way, get some exercise, and support a great cause! 

What’s Happening:

NARI Team Ride: September is our big fundraising month! Every mile you ride counts toward our fundraising goals! Last year, we raised nearly $11,500 for the Great Cycle Challenge— let’s beat it!

  • Volunteers need a bike, tricycle, unicycle, or electric bike. 
  • Bring a helmet (and if needed knee and elbow pads)
  • Member(s) who want to ride and collect sponsors can join our team by following this link https://greatcyclechallenge.com/teams/NARIofSiliconValley/h and clicking "JOIN OUR TEAM"
  • Competition continues between members to raise and ride the most all September (Recognition for top donators/rider)

MORE ABOUT THE EVENT @ VIVA CALLE SAN JOSE

  • Sunday, September 7th from 10am- 3pm
  • San Jose closes streets off to car traffic between 3 hubs-Rose Garden, Japan Town & Roosevelt Park
  • Hundreds of riders, of all ages come out and bike all day long throughout the streets
  • Not a race, the event is a leisurely bike stroll through San Jose neighborhoods
  • Enjoy merchandise booths, food, music, performances, BMX shows
  • Each hub has local vendor booths and activities to see and do
  • Round trip is 10-12 miles. 

Let’s ride for fun. Let’s ride for hope. Let’s ride for kids.
